Invisalign®
Invisalign is a company known for their fabrication of clear plastic appliances, known as aligners, to produce tooth movement. As Gold Plus providers of Invisalign, Dr. McReynolds and Dr. Gopffarth specialize in tooth movement with clear aligner therapy. They are able to plan the final outcome of your treatment digitally, which is then sent to Invisalign for fabrication of your aligners. Each aligner moves the teeth incrementally toward the desired tooth position. Invisalign also allows the use of other auxiliaries, such as attachments, bite ramps, and elastics, to achieve a truly ideal outcome.
Invisalign can be used to treat a wide variety of needs, from aesthetic detailing all the way to comprehensive orthodontic treatment. Because of this, the length of Invisalign treatment can vary from a couple of months to a couple of years based on your unique treatment needs.
One of the best aspects of Invisalign is it’s comfort and convenience. Invisalign offers a low-profile aesthetic for patients and can be completely removed from the mouth for easier eating and brushing when compared to traditional braces.
Tips for Success
At McReynolds Orthodontics, we want to set you up for success in your Invisalign treatment. We will typically see you more often at the beginning of your Invisalign treatment, and once you get rocking and rolling, we can see you up to once every ten to 12 weeks.
Invisalign can be used to treat Class I, II, or III malocclusions, deep bites, open bites, spacing, crowding, and more. The key factor to a successful Invisalign treatment is patient compliance—Invisalign trays only work while you’re wearing them! It is important to be diligent in wearing the trays about 22 hours a day. Without this key factor, it is much more difficult to achieve an ideal treatment outcome.
